I'm Kelly Duren, and I am honored to be a part of the Ronald McDonald House fundraiser, Wine, Women, and Shoes. I'm up for the distinction of the King of Sole! I am a 1985 graduate of the University of Georgia, and a proud retired 30-year educator. I spent my entire career inside the classroom teaching high school literature and composition, theatre, acting, Applied Communications, art, music, AVID, and Teacher Education. I also did everything from serving as the advisor for the Future Educators Association to coaching high school varsity wrestling. Working with young people was my life's work, and I found it tremendously rewarding. I was selected Teacher of the Year, STAR Teacher, and chosen by the Atlanta Olympic Committe as the district's Dream Team advisor. Currently, I serve on Rincon's Planning and Zoning Board, and every football Saturday in Athens, you'll find me, my husband, Lenny, and our close Dawg friends in the hallowed stands of Sanford Stadium watching the Dawgs win between the hedges. I am a proud and certified foster failure, and we live our lives centered around our three four-legged kids, Elliott, Portions, and Henri (and a stray injured cat we named Stetson, I literally scooped up from the middle of Highway 21). I would appreciate any contributions (no amount too small--for real) to my cause--and what an amazing cause it is! Each dollar equals one vote. I would be honored to receive a vote or two from my friends and family. Why vote for Regina George when you can vote for ME?
Vote for me to be King of Sole of Wine, Women and Shoes 2023!
The money raised goes back to support children and their families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire.
