Longtime husband and father of two wonderful boys - Brandon & Nelson Gil. Blessed to have a wonderful wife, Kim Gil (over 30 years). I’m now have the proud honor of being a grandfather(Birdie) to Wylder Ford Gil (7 months old). The desire to assist those in need has driven me for many years. Paying it forward began as a teenager for me. After a devastating car accident which resulted in several weeks in the local hospital, and a lengthy recovery, I realized the fantastic support from everyone's thoughts, prayers, and actions. Determined to pay back all that kindness has led me to support a great cause like the Ronald McDonald House.
I also work with 3 other groups that do a lot to support the local community. I am an active member of the Knights of Columbus since 1994 as well as active member of the Catholic War Veterans in Savannah since 2015. I’m an avid supporter of the Red Cross with hundreds of whole blood and pallet donation since 1988.
A proud member of "MY BIG FAT CUBAN FAMILY" group comprised of Aunts, Uncles, Parents, Siblings, Children, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins (my family) that celebrate our Cuban Heritage and the freedoms we enjoy here in the United States.
On active duty during "Desert Storm," the US Navy motto of Semper Fortis "Always Courageous" took on a new meaning as friends and family provided love and support for those in harm's way. Real courage is needed to raise children who fall victim to the disease or illness. Our Boys, Brandon and Nelson, were fortunate to grow into the amazing men without enduring the strife that overwhelms many families.
People can always count on me to be a part of the solution, not the problem. I ask you today to donate to my campaign to raise money (no amount is to small) for this awesome charity, Ronald McDonald House – all of your donations stay here in Savannah to help all those that come to the house seeking shelter while their love one is in the hospital.
Honor to be nominated & thank you all and God Bless!
Vote for me to be King of Sole of Wine, Women and Shoes 2023!
The money raised goes back to support children and their families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire.
